The new X Ultra 5 GTX uses Salomon's best tech to deliver heavy-duty performance while maintaining the breathability and lightness synonymous with the 'X Ultra' name. Gore-Tex membrane provides waterproofing that maintains breathability, and the all-terrain Contagrip® sole pairs perfectly with the AdvancedCHASSIS™ to provide internal and external support on unstable, unforgiving terrain. This versatility makes the X Ultra 5 GTX well-suited to adventurous day hikes, overnight hikes or multi-day treks through the teahouses of Nepal. 

The X Ultra 5 GTX's comfort rivals it's performance. A padded, textile lining cooperates with the AdvancedCHASSIS™ outsole to provide stability and lateral support, while the Energy Cell EVA foam assists with shock absorption and enhances comfort while carrying a pack. The X Ultra 5 GTX's Matryx® upper integrates Kevlar® into it's weave, increasing durability and abrasion-resistance without impacting breathability.
