When rock climbing, alpine climbing, canyoning, abseiling or working at height, it is widely known that the danger with using standard nylon or dyneema slings for your personal anchor is that they have little to no elongation. This means that any dynamic load on them is directly transferred to you and the anchor. This is bad for all involved. 

The Edelrid Switch Lanyard adds a good deal of safety margin into your personal anchor system by using a dynamic section of rope instead of a static sling. The Switch Lanyard uses Edelrid's Swift Pro Dry 8.9mm rope with two neatly sewn loops at the end. A larger one for girth hitching to your harness, and a smaller one for connecting to the anchor via a carabiner. 

The Edelrid Switch Lanyard is perfect for sport climbers, trad climbers, multipitch climbers, canyoners and alpine climbers.
