Pivot Guide Belay Device - Climbing Hardware

Description

Thanks to those Welsh people at DMM the next generation of guide mode climbing belay devices is here. The DMM Pivot gives optimum performance when lowering in 'guide mode' thanks to the patent pending pivot loop. Which takes the usual pivot point from the karabiner, right down almost to the rope. This makes it not just easier to lower a climber, but even allows you to lower two climbers simultaneously with amazing control. The shape of the new internal grooves also gives a smooth action over a wider range of rope diameters. This means excellent control with super skinny or fat ropes when belaying from the harness or abseiling.

The extra control in guide mode would also come in handy when using in a rescue set up either on rock or alpine cravass rescues. 

Combine all this with a hot forged construction (for reduced weight and complex design) and anodised alloy (to help with corrosion) and you have yourself a fine piece of kit.
