Makalu FX Carbon Compact
Description
The LEKI Makalu FX Carbon Compact is a lightweight folding trekking pole designed for mountain hiking, trekking, and travel where a compact packed size and reliable stability are both important. It is built for use on varied terrain, from steep ascents to technical descents.
The pole uses LEKI’s Aergon Air grip, which combines a lightweight hollow-core design with ergonomic support zones for comfort over long days. A fully rubberised grip head improves control on descents, while the extended grip section allows for lower hand positions when climbing or traversing steep ground.
Constructed from high-strength Carbon PRC 1000, the shaft keeps weight low while maintaining stiffness and efficiency under load. The folding 4-section design with ELD system allows the poles to pack down compactly for travel, while Speed Lock 2 Plus enables quick and secure length adjustment on the move.
