The Exped Flex 1.5R is a lightweight closed-cell foam mat camp designed for simple, reliable ground protection on hiking, trekking, and bikepacking trips. It’s typically used as a standalone summer mat or as a protective insulation layer underneath an inflatable sleeping mat.

Built from durable IXPE foam, it provides basic insulation from cold ground and helps protect air mats from punctures on rough or abrasive terrain. The folding design allows it to deploy quickly and pack externally on a backpack without fuss.
